I believe the most you can to via dhcp is tell the client and explicit DA to use, and perhaps scope. At least ISTR that could be done with Novell DHCP server. The info sent may only have meaning to PC's with Novell Clients. Not sure. In any event, maybe you need to set an explicit DA (and scope ?) in your /etc/slp.conf ? That may be required if networking is an issue. Then restart slpda. joe a.

I was able to get ncpmount to work on the wired network where I had failed on the wireless, so the network topology was at least part of the problem. I still can't get slptool to see anything though, even on the same ethernet segment where slpinfo under windows does see domains. I suppose that means it is a routing issue. Another question, a bit afield of slp but I think still relevant. What role does dhcp play in all this? Can't some novell and/or slp configuration data been delivered that way? Does anyone know if dhclient under linux but be configured specially to receive it (I don't see anything in my lease files) or if it takes whatever the server sends?
