Yesterday, I just noticed that my app's profile view is also disabled since 18th feb(the blog post was on 5th feb!). It is one of the oldest apps on Orkut and profile view was the main view for users. It had no scope for XSS vulnerabilities , phishing attacks on atleast the profile view. I could have been notified before taking down the app from profile view and mentioned how long will it last to be told to users. As a developer I utterly regret this.
Also with 2400 apps there in directory and no categorization , if you are not lucky enough to have your new app in "latest editions" for enough time.. there are least chances of it bouncing back. Previously, Orkut was on top priority to port our myspace apps. Now, its been ages since we launched anything on Orkut. But yeah, I am hoping things to change in near future on Google's Orkut.
