Danek, Ubuntu also uses /etc/lynx.*. You can run "lynx --cfg=/path/to/lynx.cfg" (or --lss=...) to override the default paths, but it still probably make sense to change my proposal to use /etc/lynx/lynx.* for general ease of use.
I'll send out an updated proposal once the issue of the openssl contract is resolved. [ Brian, John - any resolution on this?] Thanks, - Dermot On 11/14/08 18:58, Danek Duvall wrote: > On Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 05:08:10PM +0000, Dermot McCluskey wrote: > >> By default, lynx installs it's config files in /usr/local/etc/ which I >> changed to /usr/share/$PKGNAME/ following some examples like autoconf and >> gnobots2. >> >> Should I be putting the config files in /etc/, or /etc/$PKGNAME/? > > On my gentoo box, I have /etc/lynx.lss and /etc/lynx.cfg.
