The number of feature-free or stopper-only builds depends what and how is gong

to be maintained by Opensolaris and how other distros will align their work with
OS.

Curently, SUN maintains all changes for all platforms and architectures in ON,

it going to be forever or not? How it will work in case if , let say, PowerPC
wil

be a part of Opensolaris?

In my experience (as a Sun's HW Partner which is aligned to Sun) having only two

builds in a cycle looks very aggressive for other distros.

The sequence that works:

            feature builds (many)> oem/distros builds(1-2) > stopper
builds(1-2)
