It's not "just because". Lots of tools like source scanners, viewers,
browsers etc. work with Subversion but not with Mercurial and limiting
the SCM support to just Mercurial is IMO therefore _wrong_ because as
result we prevent users from being able to use such tools.
Please provide at least two concrete examples of such tools that a)
offer some important or useful functionality, and b) do not have some
reasonable alternative that is Hg compatible.
And for which contributing Hg support would not be simpler than trying
to maintain 2 SCM's long term.
