If it dosent work, no one will want to take ownership, and we generate

The "doesn't work" attribute is why I'm pursuing removing it now. The
code has been sitting in the ON gate for ~2 years now, waiting for me to
finish getting the PS/2, power management, and synaptics driver support
for it finished. I never found the cycles to do it, and Sun wasn't
willing to *pay* me to do it (so the work had to take place on my own
time -- indeed the initial platmod support was integrated without any
support from Sun, and probably violated a few C-Team review rules simply
because I didn't know about the requirement for them. I could never get
a bugster subcategory for this platform, for example, because I couldn't
find a sustaining resource inside Sun who was willing to own support for
the platform.)
Nobody else in the community has stepped forward, or even complained
about the broken state of the platform in OpenSolaris or SXCE.
At the same time, I've lost any desire to do the work, as I won't be
able to use the platform at all with OpenSolaris (see the framebuffer
problem I already eluded), and frankly my unit (which is only 500 MHz)
is so underpowered as to be really unpleasant to work with anyway.
If someone else wants to own the work, I'm more than happy to hand it
off. *I* won't be doing the work to keep the platform alive anymore,
though, and I really think its time to remove it from ON, because it
won't be usable with any distribution post b128 (unless you're willing
to settle for a laptop that doesn't support X.)

It doesn't necessarily generate a fork. It *does* mean that if you
want to support this platform, you will need an additional bit of
code in a separate repository from ON. The code can move there. Sun
isn't going to keep this platform code in ON, because frankly, the
current support is badly incomplete (basic functionality like the
power button, battery/power management, and numerous extra Sun
keyboard keys are simply not supported in ON today.) Even worse,
going forward there will be no driver support for the framebuffer on
this platform, as there is *no* freely redistributable device driver
for it, and the SXCE distribution is ending.
Wanting to continue supporting this platform in OpenSolaris is,
unfortunately, at this point just tilting at windmills.
(The implications of the demise of SXCE for other SPARC workstations
with unsupported graphics cards in them are left as an exercise for
the reader.)

This platform is doomed from lack of resource to properly support,

Here's the webrev with the details, I could really appreciate a
code review.
