Not know what others said about ReiserFS, but in my experience ReiserFS gives me far less trouble than ext2/ext3. Especially when recover from power interruption.
Even with journalizing, ext3 fs on our local servers suffer from data corruption and needed to be fsck'ed ;) during power outtage. (Oh, yes, we got UPS, but that's another story.) In the meantime, the reiserfs on another SuSE box survived. Back to Solaris/OpenSolaris filesystems, I certainly will appreciate ability to mount rw reiserfs from solaris. ext2/3 is also a good-to-have. And I also can't help but to say, zfs? :) Ivan.
