I'm not sure about the appropriate forum for this, feel free to e-mail
me off list to lower traffic.

Basically I'm trying to isolate the source of my problem using the
Nvidia drivers with build 28. I had 1.0-7667 working on an older
Solaris Express with a couple bfu's applied, but then I had some
downtime and re-installed from scratch with the new ISO's the other
day.
I'm not sure if this is an incompatibility with the newer kernel or
the newer x.org sources, and would like to track down the problem.
When X starts, I get the dreaded "unable to initialize kernel module"
error (I've tried the last 3 revisions of the driver at this point,
all with the same issue). I've also noted that /dev/nvidiactl is ok
but that the link /dev/fbs/nvidia0 is missing after install and
reboot, as is /devices/pci.../nvidia-0. I'm not sure if that entry is
critical or not. Because of that, I'm thinking this is an
incompatility unrelated to the new x.org, but I'm just speculating
really. If anyone has any thoughts on how to track down the problem
or has a working configuration, I would love to hear about it. I'm
assuming Nvidia will be no help on this, since Solaris 10 is the only
supported configuration.

Cheers,
Dave
