Can I get a copy of the source to your Fibonacci program ?  I'd like
to see what I see on a UltraSparc III machine with the Sun Studio 11
versus GCC 4 while I use the Sun Performance libs if possible.

Also, I agree that pushing little numbers around with Fibonacci is
trivial.  Perhaps something more stringent is required.  But then
again, I am guilty of playing with silly infinite series to calculate
pi for the same purpose.

As a sidenote, total non-sequiter and blatantly unrelated, after ten
years of dreaming about it .. finally .. after long long last .. I
received a copy of Wolfram's Mathematica for Christmas.  It was
unopened and on eBay and I would guess that it will kick out any
Fibonacci number way way faster than anything we can scheme up.  :-)
