I hate to do a "me too" posting but, well, "me too."

No way would I support relaxing the 80 character limit in ON.  In
general, the code that needs to have that limit relaxed is just an
unreadable (and thus unmaintainable) mass of characters.  It might as
well be written directly as object code.
