Cdrecord does support DVD media since February 1998.
Cdrecord allows you to reate dual/double-layer media in case that don't care
about the position of the layer break.

THe version that I did last create for Blastwace was a small hack as it
has been compiled on Solaris 8 but supports Solaris 11 lseek(SEE_HOLE).
Do you believe that you may to this too?
