I'm installing Solaris Express Community Edition b41 or b42 onto a machine that's running Linux now. It's got a single drive with a lot of data on it on a ReiserFS partition. I've got new drives that I'll be adding to eventually create a ZFS mirror. Before installing Solaris though, in Linux I need to copy my data from ReiserFS to something like fat32 so when I boot up Solaris I'll be able read that data and copy it over to a ZFS drive. I know I can format one of the new drives as fat32 in Linux and copy my data there, but how well does pcfs work in Solaris? Or does anyone recommend a different filesystem usable on both Linux and Solaris?
