I've used pcfs before to get files from Windows to Solaris. However, if you
have an ext2fs filesystem, you might be able to use that get files from Linux
to Solaris as well:

Personally, I would highly recommend tarballing any files you want to transfer
to avoid some of the limitations of pcfs, and then use pcfs. Mainly because I
have never had an issue with read/write with pcfs, so you could use it to bring
files back and forth between Solaris and Linux.

I'm somewhat surprised that Linux doesn't support the Solaris UFS filesystem.
