As with you I could not get 06/06 to install on Parallels.
I fact checked 06/06 and discovered: minimum RAM 256MB.
I set Parallels (released version) to 256MB, guess what? Installed
clean as a whistle.
I'm running Xorg (vesa, PS2 keyboard and mouse) and JDS 3.0, albeit
it crawls with only 256MB of RAM.
The supplied network driver installs cleanly and works fine with DHCP.
I haven't played with it too much yet, but it seems that I can now
install and get things working. Solaris will NOT boot if your Mac is
using wireless (AirPort) networking. You need to be connected to the
ethernet. I set my Solaris VM to 512MB and it works great (I got 2GB
on my MBP).
