Why do they need to. You can read what it says. GPLv2 has been around well over a decade and people still have trouble understanding the implications. There are terabytes of wasted internet bandwidth of every man and their dog putting on their lawyer hat and sprouting total bollocks. It would be nice to have an open source discussion for once where people talk about source code rather than licenses.
