Here I get the "can't attach" message mentioned in your blog, so I try
#svcs clear svc:/network/physical:default
and get
Pattern 'clear' doesn't match any instances
So then I begin mixing my metaphors and adding a pci8086,104b line to
/boot/solaris/devicedb/master and rebooting -r and on boot I get a
"Can't identify hardware"
message.

No such interface but you guessed that and I knew it from 'ls /dev' already.
