Which means I have to start Thunderbird just to read RSS ? Fun... ;-(
Oh, yes... and Thunderbird is another large problem in Solaris (e.g.
stability, resource usage and dataloss problems which have not been
addresses since a long time) ...

IMO it would be nice to get a simple email notification system, even
something tacked-on later. IMO it would reach more people and won't
require the bandwidth needed for a RSS feature (e.g. push vs. pull
service).

I don't agree. There should be some kind of access control to restrict
comments to those who are working on the issue or are interested to work
on it.
