So we're not even talking about "doing GPLv3" but using "GPLv3 with the
assembly acception"; I suppose that means "GPLv3 but allowing mixing with
other licenses in any way, shape or form".

So, that's not really using GPLv3 then, is it?
Sounds like a PR move with plenty of potential of blowing up in Sun's
face.
