That may be true on the cheap^H^H^H^H^Hcommodity x86 platform, but on SPARC, I'm not all that impressed to date; performance, actual functioning of some allegedly supported devices, removal that requires a lot of manual action to reinstate the original device support (if they just diff'd /etc/path_to_inst and /etc/driver_aliases immediately before and after installation, they'd have a pretty good idea of what they'd removed that they'd have to restore), and non-function of the compatibility devices tell me that on SPARC, it needs a little more work. Maybe not all that much; I can see that within a year they might be all they could be. But for now, they're barely usable on SPARC, depending on the specific hardware in question.
