But as you add disks to Raid-5 doesn't performance suffer? So it would be better to add another Raid-5 bank that do onesy-twosy creep that will degrade the performance.
I'm currently setting up a 5-500GB disk SATA array onto my Solaris server (still waiting for the cabinet to arrive). With Raid-5 I get 2TB and the whole shebang cost under 1000 USD.
