The only possible source I know of is the currently very-much-experimental
and under heavy development xf86-video-avivo drivers being produced by the
Xorg community reverse engineering effort after ATI both refused to provide
specs or open source drivers itself, and blocked the previous open source
driver effort from being published.

The OpenSolaris X sources in the X Window community on opensolaris.org
build Xorg server 1.2 (aka X11R7.2) with many drivers built, but you'ld
have to add in the avivo ones yourself. We're looking at providing the
Xorg DDK in Solaris itself in the future so that you will be able to build
drivers without having to build the rest first, but haven't gotten there yet.

No one I know has figured out what ATI's statements were about given their
animosity towards open source drivers. No real action seems to have come
from them yet.
