vermillion is code name of JDS(Java Desktop System), which is gnome based, plus some other apps like firefox/thunderbird, etc. You could take it as gnome distribution on Solaris.
If you install Solaris Developer Express, you already have vermillion installed. The link which I pointed to you is the latest vermillion build. BTW, AFAIK, JDS is going to change name to gnome.
