Oh yes. Tyan + 3ware allowed me to build a 3K box that had 2 SCSI
disks for the system and 8 IDE 200GB disks for a 3ware raid 10 array,
dual Opteron 242s and 2GB of ECC RAM and a redundant power supply
about three/four years ago. Nearest competition was twice the cost.
