Seen yesterday on a big big sign the Blu Ray booth on the IFA.

Cdrecord already includes some rudimentary Blu Ray support.

As it seems that all single layer BD-RE media are delivered preformatted,
you may write already BD-RE media.

You currently cannot write BD-RE/DL media as there is only Panasonic media and
this does not come preformatted.

cdrecord -atip works for as much information as possible with the SCSI standard
documentation - if I get more information from Sun.....

cdrecord -minfo also works completely for BD media

Missing is currently:

- auto-format support for maiden BD-RE

- currect finalising support.

I currently own one of any avaibale media:

- BD-R 25 GB ~ 12-19 Euro each
- BD-R/DL 50 GB ~ 25-35 Euro each
- BD-RE 25 GB ~ 22-30 Euro each
- BD-RE/DL 50 DB (really ~ 48 GB) ~ 50-60 Euro each

For complete support I may need more media.
