I've pretty much got this setup and working. What I'd like to hear from the group is what solutions people have come up with for automating kicking off the re-installation of a machine.
On SPARC, I would have typed, or scripted: reboot -- 'net - install' On X86 I'm not sure how I can achieve the same functionality? So far I don't like the only idea I've come up with: Configure the BIOS to always boot from the net first, and only configure the boot server to respond to that host when a re-install is desired. - This just seems backwards to me, I've always left the boot server configured all the time, and had the client request the install while rebooting. (That's not to mention the extending the boot time waiting for PXE to time out.) Anyone have any other ideas? -Kyle _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
