Thanks for all the Info Casper! On a different question,
Back in my SPARC days, using rpc.bootparamd, I specified that the NFS reads from the root filesystem should be in 32K chunks. I've built up my macros in DHCP for both SPARC, and X86 now, and I pretty much understand how all the fields I used to put in /etc/bootparams map to Options in DHCP. The one thing I can't nail down is should I put the rsize=32768 into SbootRS? or SrootOpt? Some other things I'm curious about: 1) The Boot (kernel) file wasn't needed on sparc from bootparams (not sure it was possible either) Is it required from DHCP on x86? on sparc? or is there a suitable default? 2) I used to always set the terminal type in /etc/bootparams, DHCP has a 'Sterm' option, but the Docs mention that it is ignored. Is that still true? Where would I go to use that instead of the sysidcfg file? -Kyle _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
