You need to mention the type of system you wish to do this on. Many  
sparc-based systems allow updating the OBP from the ALOM or SC if your  
system is equipped with that.

Assuming you have no OS loaded, paste the output of the OBP banner  
here and someone can tell you if you can do a network load of new  
firmware on that system.

IF your system is not capable of that, you *might* be able to boot net  
and load the firmware image from a solaris miniroot, such as the one  
on a jumpstart server (if you have one).
