I think what he is saying is that providing a toggle during install is easy, but explaining the use of the toggle is quite difficult because the vast majority of users will have absolutely no idea what you are asking them to choose between. Providing a "if you don't understand this question, just accept the default" option would probably work, but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth and would still beg the question of "what is the default?"
