The U5 is a U10 in a smaller (desktop) chassis. So while only 512MB
and no UPA boards were "supported" inside the U5's tiny chassis, with
some physical adjustments (e.g. no floppy drive) you can have up to
three generic 120GB IDE hdd's inside, plus a DVD-RW writer, plus
1024MB mem plus a Creator 3D plus bootable SCSI card (e.g. from LSI)
plus a qfe card or Gigabit-NIC plus FireWire/USB2 combo card (at
$9,-).
Then the thing is full, but if a Creative Audigy2 SoundBlaster is more
important to you, you can also have that (with grand,aster Juergen
Keil's drivers from www.tools.de/solaris).

So ... never say never.
