Oh, I forgot: I don't need you to tell, what you can do with a U5 as soon as it has one or more UW, UW2 or faster bootable (from OBP!) SCSI cards inside. Add a nice external device chain including a 4x or 8x tomer, a SCSI scanner for use inside XSane, a DDS4 and so on. I did all this when a U10 was my primary box.
