Hello again, as it seems, it's best to keep the Solaris 8 or 9 (I've got media for both, thanks to Martin for the kind offer).
If rumours come true, I'd better be quick downloading the missing stuff, too. Having used (and still so) IBM's OS/2 for more than a dozen years now and having been witness to IBM's policy against this fine product (yes, I know, it's not Unix, but it has its merits, too ;)), namely firstly, half-hearted support, followed by increasing neglection and a step-by-step killing over several years, I'm cured of all illusions. If it's good, they'll stop making it. (See MCA, OS/2 PPC, ThinkPads etc.) Oh well, gotta stop being that gloomy, sometimes, things don't come out _that_ badly, who knows. Anyway, how do I find out about the two CPU flavours (I just looked at what the OBP said)? Is there some aficionado's website about this hardware?
