I don't see any licensing issues, since Berkely DB should probably be covered by the BSD license, right? So how come there's no SUNWbdb in Indiana? Think about it, the following are just a few of the thing are are reportedly dependent on Berkeley DB to run effectively:
(1) Sun Grid Engine (2) Postfix secure MTA (3) Subversion version control system (4) Cyrus IMAP Server (5) ClusterFS file system (6) Asterisk PBX (7) Spamassasin anti-spam application By not having Berkeley DB in Indiana, we are essentially chopping off the baby's legs before it could even learn to walk. So I guess using Solaris 10 or Solaris Express is the only way that any Solaris users are going to get access to SUNWbdb ? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
