Just to add that Fluedo web site offer free source code
of Moovida media player. I tried to compile it on my
machine but it is not so powerful to do it :-/.
Unfourtunately, I cannot leverage Sun's servers to do
portin because there are graphics components, too.
Note that elisa has been rebranded as moovida, which you
can download from www.moovida.com. Moovida is python code,
which is interpreted and not compiled. So, you shouldn't
have any compile issues. You need to install moovida,
moovida-plugins-base, and moovida-plugins-good for it to
work. Note that the upstream code doesn't work on Solaris
unless you apply the patches that we apply, which you can find
in the spec-files-other branch.
If you go here, and look in the patches subdirectory, you
can find the patches we apply to moovida so it works on
Solaris. The moovida patches are named "moovida*.diff".

We are working with the upstream maintainers to get the
patches upstream. They have actually already accepted many
of our patches upstream, but there are still some that are
under review.

True, of course, but one would imagine that Linux version->Solaris
version is a rather shorter journey than 0->Linux version :)
