Yes, but I would think that one of the main reasons for buying a Toshiba laptop
with OpenSolaris pre-installed is to run a software stack that draws heavily
from Sun's F.O.S.S. offerings, and probably the fourth most widely used piece
of multi-platform Sun free open source software (after Java, MySQL, and
OpenOffice) is VirtualBox, and I think it's safe to assume that most users are
going to enable virtualization in the BIOS so that they can get better
performance from their VirtualBox virtual machines.

Although I.S.V. support for OpenSolaris is improving by leaps and bounds with
Adobe, Codeina, Bordeaux, etc. now jumping on the bandwagon, it's safe to
assume that most users of OpenSolaris will currently have some piece of
software they need for work where a native package isn't available for
OpenSolaris so they will probably want to run that application natively in a
VirtualBox VM. Now, if only we in the community could somehow get CISCO, Apple,
IBM, Oracle, Autodesk, SAP, and Microsoft to jump on the OpenSolaris I.S.V.
bandwagon like Adobe, Codeina, and Bordeaux did, then OpenSolaris would
probably be ahead of Linux in terms of software availability within the next
couple of years or so, since it's much easier for an I.S.V. to develop a
package for Solaris than it is to try to support the literally thousands of
different mutually incompatible Linux desktop variants that are out there.
Plus, Microsoft has never done things like make a "Windows Media Player" for
Linux before
, but they did make Windows Media Player 6.3 available for Solaris:

The English download page was taken offline a long time ago, but it seems that
it's still available from Microsoft if you live in Japan:
