Oh no, I want to learn Solaris and I ain't giving up. I'll be having a dream OpenSolaris box running before you know :) VirtualBox - while nice won't suit my needs. I need native OpenSolaris and I'm getting it. You know, in Finland we have this thing called "sisu". It means we don't give up that easily. Where others would quit we just keep on going until the problem is solved. I've made some further progress. I now got the /dev/term/0 and /dev/term/1 device files created! I think I'm one step away from solving my 3G USB-connectivity problem! I had to quit last night at 1am and get some sleep, but I will continue today once I get out from work. I might get this running today. Now it's basically just tailoring the PPP-scripts to suit my needs and it appears I need to do some further studying. Perhaps I can get this info by looking at my Ubuntu system's connection scripts regarding my 3G network provider. If I can (and I can) get this device to work with OpenSolaris I will post clear instructions so that others who have the same device can benefit. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
