Huh??  I'm having a hard time remembering the last time Gnome slipped

Note I said *sometimes*, I didn't say how recent or how often.

Also note that GNOME didn't even being to adopt a time-based schedule until 2002:

Nevertheless, as I mentioned elsewhere, it is not reasonable to expect a product produced by a commercial entity to have a strictly time-based release schedule. There are other considerations to take into account.
