It is very inappropriate for me to comment on the various OpenSolaris distros because I haven't tried any of them recently. That said, I mentioned Milax more than a few times because I remember I read somewhere that one can cold boot an installed Milax to its graphic mode in about ten seconds. I have only tried the Milax LiveCD on VirtualBox, and OMG, this sucker is FAST! Even faster than Ubuntu. Again, the reason I specifically commented on Milax was because Katy's husband mentioned a "minimalist OpenSolaris distro" which, as I hope, can serve as the framework for a Solaris-based business desktop. This is something that I have been hoping for some time. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
