It is very inappropriate for me to comment on the various OpenSolaris distros 
because I haven't tried any of them recently.

That said, I mentioned Milax more than a few times because I remember I read 
somewhere that one can cold boot an installed Milax to its graphic mode in 
about ten seconds.  I have only tried the Milax LiveCD on VirtualBox, and OMG, 
this sucker is FAST!  Even faster than Ubuntu.

Again, the reason I specifically commented on Milax was because Katy's husband 
mentioned a "minimalist OpenSolaris distro" which, as I hope, can serve as the 
framework for a Solaris-based business desktop.  This is something that I have 
been hoping for some time.
