L.S., Thanks to everyone for the excellent help! The figures that are shown by the vmstat/prstat commands seem to make a lot more sense. Also, the documentation links provided also helped me understand what's going on under the covers.
It would be nice to see the gnome-system-monitor bug resolved (or perhaps enhance it so it shows which portion of the RAM usage is ZFS caching at work), so we don't scare new users any more ;) Thanks again, Gert -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
