You could start the OpenSolaris Live CD in VirtualBox on Linux to create the USB stick. Alternatively, if you have access to a Windows machine, there's a Live USB Creator <http://devzone.sites.pid0.org/OpenSolaris/opensolaris-liveusb-creator>.
