Well ... if you want to use in a daily basis for desktop use, go OpenSolaris. If you want to use for server experience for future jobs then go Solaris 10 because opensolaris has the latest technologies in it which in time will end up in Solaris 10. But until then it takes a while, I would say 6 to 12 months.
