Hi, if you need 0 trouble, use Gnome Partition Editor (free liveCD from http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ ) and there resize/create a free primary (no type) partition where you want on you disk. Be aware that thi stask is time consuming. Then, when you are running the OpenSolaris installer from the OpenSolaris 2008.05 Live CD, just select the free space as a solaris partition and install it.
I'm personnally using a dual-boot XP-OpenSolaris with 8GB (NTFS)+32GB(Solaris) and had no problems whith the build 86 included in OpenSolaris2008.05. Moving directly to Build 98 was also 0 problem (check http://wikis.sun.com/display/chosug/Update+it ) Hope this helps :) Regards Karim -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
