Okay, i've solved it (kind of):
Make a new X11 configuration with: su (give password opensolaris) /usr/bin/X11/Xorg -configure Then boot into X with: /usr/X11/bin/xinit /usr/bin/dbus-launch gnome-session -- /usr/X11/bin/Xorg ?config /jack/xorg.conf.new :0 I've noticed that you dont have the installer icon on the desktop. it can be found browsing to /jack home dir. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
