Hi Dave, Ive had to install Opensolaris on the X4540 and I can tell you its been interesting. So here are my responses to your questions.
1. The "BAD PBR SIG" is due to the wrong disk being set in the boot order, go into the bios menu and choose the correct disk that should be booted off. When the system was installed and I booted into the OS for the first time my root disk was c9t1d0s0. I attached c8t1d0s0 as the mirror later on which gave me that error. 2. I have not done a AI installation so no help here. 3. I had the same behavior, on solaris I had c6t0d0 through c13t0d0. Now I have c8t0d0 through c13t0d0 on opensolaris. 4. Same behavior seen as # 3. 5. This one is the wrost one that I cant figure out. Did you do anything to get the console redirection of the bios and startup of the OS. As I cant get anything to show on the SP/console. Here is a link to my same question and hopefully may help you out: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=389081 -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
