All fine, but not with the messed up disks. Messed up by a bug in Solaris. lucreate wrote to a non-existing drive, and the USB has no swap. Zero. It contains 3 partitions for data only. Read the identifier closely: format says dev/dsk/c1d0 failsafe wants to update the boot archive on /dev/dsk/c2d0
