Hi, I just installed Solaris Express Community Edition b72 on a PC with an Atheros-based wifi card. On this PC, WPA-PSK and DHCP are working and I can access the internet. I also have a laptop running Windows Vista and it can access the internet via wifi.
The problem is that my Windows laptop cannot talk to my OpenSolaris PC. If I try to ping it I get "Destination host unreachable", and by running WireShark on the laptop I can see that Windows is sending an ARP request but OpenSolaris is not replying. Occasionally the OpenSolaris PC does broadcast ARP "replies" for some reason, but not when requested, and Windows ignores these broadcasts. Can anyone help? Is there some obscure setting that I haven't enabled on the Solaris PC? Luke This message posted from opensolaris.org
