I am still having the same problems, but using "snoop" I have found that Solaris is not receiving the ARP requests from my Windows laptop, and I am starting to think that this is a wider problem with broadcasts over the wireless network. On one occasion the two computers suddenly started talking, and ping and ssh were working for a while, but after several minutes they stopped working again. Even while ssh was working, NetBIOS name resolution did not work so I suspect that broadcasts only worked very briefly, for long enough for ARP to happen.
Broadcasts from the router to the Solaris PC also seem to work intermittently. What can I do to debug this problem further? This message posted from opensolaris.org
