I have seen intermittent connectivity between a Sparc box running Solaris 7 and
a newly-installed Solaris 10 x86 box running 8/07 (both on same LAN segment).
It mainly seems to be limited to ICMP packets, though. A ping will work for a
while, then stop. TCP packets seem to be unaffected. I installed an older
version of Solaris 10 x86 on the same hardware (Asus M2NPV-VM) a few months ago
(also on same LAN) and have had zero networking issues. very odd. could be
the switch port I guess (?)
