Ok, so the network card is part of an SiS chipset.
I don't think that Sun provide a driver for that Ethernet chipset.

You need to check out the HCL (Hardware Compatibility List)
for Solaris Express Developer Edition.
Here is the list of network devices that are reported as compatible:

I'm not an SiS expert, but maybe the driver mentioned here:

which mentions a 'sfe' driver at:
http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/
..but it looks like you need to compile the driver from source :-(

Maybe it would be easier to get something like a Intel or RealTek network
card & plug it into a spare PCI slot.

By the way, If you do 'prtconf -D'
it shows which driver is loaded for each device.
