This Thread is great, why can't this be easily found in the roadmap summary,
since most Solaris users & Admin's are dependent on production luupgrade /
flash process from Solaris and SXDE has Gone Away. OpenSolaris has (nominally)
replaced it was not very well explained on the OpenSolaris and the sun.com
developer section ether, we need a smooth migration path to pkg & new Snap
upgrade processes to be able to migrate production 3rd part or self built
projects from legacy to new and back for regression testing and certification
of various programs that run under Solaris 10 especially we are grappling with
legacy Solaris 8/9 under Xen and WirtualBox environments so the global
environment needs to be rock solid.
