So, I'm a long time linux user who installed opensolaris when the binary of
indiana was released, played around with it for a day or so, and then forgot
about it until now. Decided to boot up the machine again, and immediately got
horribly confused when trying to install/update packages. I see there is the
"package manager" program (gui), but then from searching online i see there is
a pkg-get utility. However, there seem to be different versions available -
from sunfreeware.org and from blastwave.org, and I'm worried that the update
process the sunfreeware pkg-get started doing (I killed it soon after starting)
is completely separate from the update process that the package manager would
do, or the blastwave.org pkg-get would do...

In short, what is going on with all these different repositories - are they
mutually exclusive (the packages from sunfreeware's pkg-get were all
SMC<package_name> and installed to /usr/local/; the package manager seems to be
installing everywhere, not sure about the blastwave pkg-get) will using more
than one clusterphunk my machine, etc?
